Hey friends. Long time no speak!!!
I’m back.
Since we last spoke (December 2024… wild), life has been a bit of a whirlwind.
I finished off a ski season in Banff, travelled through the Hawaiian Islands, ran an ultra in Liechtenstein, lived and worked in Gran Canaria, and backpacked Italy and Croatia, all before flying back to North America where I spent an unreal summer hiking in the Rockies.

The summit of Grignetta (where I camped for the night!!!) - Italian Alps
I then headed down to Central America where I lived in El Salvador (working as a surf instructor lol) and hitchhiked north through Guatemala and Mexico to celebrate Day of the Dead in Oaxaca.

Crossing the boarder from El Salvador to Guatemala
Oh, and I just got back from a winter stint in Europe. Portugal in a van with my sisters (got to see Nazaré pumping), skiing in the French Alps with my family, then more Italy, and somehow even surfing a winter swell in Cornwall, England.

Typing that out felt slightly absurd.
It’s been a very full year. One I definitely don’t take for granted!
But this past year hasn’t just been about adventure. You might remember this blog from a couple of years ago, when I was writing about navigating your twenties and quarter-life crossroads. Even though I stopped posting, I never stopped writing.
You see, as I travelled and met more people, I kept noticing the same thing: so many of us are figuring out our own crossroads, trying to make sense of direction, purpose, and what really matters.
Seeing that again and again made me realise there wasn’t a single place that explored these questions in a practical, thoughtful way for people in their twenties. That’s what sparked the idea for my book, a way to pull together reflection, insights, and frameworks for anyone trying to intentionally navigate this stage of life.
So long story short: I spent the past year quietly writing. From cafes in Gran Canaria, to libraries in Canada, beaches in Portugal, Starbucks in El Salvador, and most recently from home (yes, I’m back)!
I’ve just finished the first draft (which, looking back, still needs plenty of refinement lol), and I cannot wait to share what I’ve been working on!
Moving forward, I’ve decided to relaunch this newsletter, The Summit, primarily as a waitlist for the book and a place to document my writing journey. I’ll still share thoughts, insights, and the occasional travel update, but mostly it’ll be for people interested in the book — kind of like a front-row seat to the process.
You certainly won’t be getting two emails a week, maybe more like two times a month. If you’re still interested, stick around… exciting things are coming ;)

PS. My favourite summit of the year: Volcán Acatenango - Guatemala
